Asian markets are mixed this morning with volumes somewhat muted. The South Korean Won fell the most since July, amid concerns that authorities will intervene to curb excessive gains.

In Europe, equity futures are marginally lower, and today we have German GfK Consumer confidence, and French business confidence.

US markets closed at session lows yesterday, as confidence data disappointed and concerns over the debt ceiling begin to escalate. Today we have durable goods orders and new home sales data.
