Asian markets are marginally lower this morning ahead of the BOJ beginning their 2 day policy meeting. In corporate news, China's ICBC fell almost 2% in Hong Kong after Goldman announced that they will sell their remaining stake valued at just over $1bn.

European equity futures are marginally lower in early trade, after posting further gains yesterday. Today we have German PPI and UK PPI and CPI data due.

In the US markets retreated off fresh all time highs to close the session nearer lows, ahead of FOMC minutes and a testimony before congress on the economy by Bernanke tomorrow. Moody's also said last night that they may downgrade the US, should parties fail to address budget deficit issues.
