Asian markets are lower this morning, with China's Shanghai composite lower by around 1.1% as concerns grow over property curbs recently implemented by the government. The Yen is slightly stronger overnight currently trading at just under 96 versus the dollar.

There is little change for the European equity futures ahead of key industrial production data out of the Eurozone. S&P have said that they believe that Portugal's economy will contract more than previously expected this year.

US markets fluctuated between gains and losses in a tight range on low volume ahead of retail sales data later today.
