Asian markets firmer again this morning as global sentiment continues to improve, the Nikkei standing out up around 80bps with Sony up over 1.5% on an upgrade from Credit Suisse. Elsewhere, Billiton trading 0.5% lower in Australia following their earnings.
In Europe, markets posted strong gains buoyed by positive survey data out of Germany. Today we have German producer prices, CPI for both Germany and France, Italian Industrial orders and in the UK, jobless claims and BOE minutes. Accor, Lafarge, Credit Agricole, France Telecom, Cap Gemini and Billiton have all released earnings.
US markets continue to push higher to close near session highs last night, ahead of the FOMC releasing minutes from the January meeting this evening. Today we have housing starts and PPI data.
